UONGOZI WA Maendeleo (Development Governance) – Strengthening of mechanisms for interaction and dialogue between civil society organisations, local authorities and the people of Katanga with regard to the application of the principle of subsidiarity in the process of participatory governance of the respective Decentralised Local Entities (Municipalities and Territories).

 

Technical assistance with decentralisation, governance and local development.

 

General objective: to contribute to the sound and transparent management of the Congolese public authorities through the effective participation of civil society organisations in Katanga in the spaces and processes of institutional decision-making through the principle of subsidiarity, both at local and provincial levels.

 

Specific objective: increased participation by the Civil Society Organisations, Local Authorities and populations of Kalemie, Lubumbashi and Kamina in the definition, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public policies, through legitimisation of their roles in the areas and improved processes that provide space for dialogue, consultation and sharing of information.
