Thanks to contribution of the Rita Levi-Montalcini Foundation Persone Come Noi provides scholarships for 24 female heads of single-parent families in Kinshasa, in order to To promote the socio-economic autonomy of women. The objective is to empower 24 disadvantaged women to take action and increase their opportunities for social advancement through the enhancement of their professional skills, by enabling them to complete their education.

Persone Come Noi works in Congo (RDC) with his second project of development governance: Strengthening of mechanisms for interaction and dialogue between civil society organisations, local authorities and the people of Katanga with regard to the application of the principle of subsidiarity in the process of participatory governance of the respective Decentralised Local Entities (Municipalities and Territories). In collaboration with the National Council of NGO in RDC (CNONGD), the Provincial Council of NGO of Katangail consiglio Provinciale delle ONGD del Katanga and 13 Municipalities, the project aims to contribute to the sound and transparent management of the Congolese public authorities through the effective participation of civil society organisations in Katanga in the spaces and processes of institutional decision-making through the principle of subsidiarity, both at local and provincial levels. The project has increased participation by the Civil Society Organisations, Local Authorities and populations of Kalemie, Lubumbashi and Kamina in the definition, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public policies, through legitimisation of their roles in the areas and improved processes that provide space for dialogue, consultation and sharing of information.

Thanks to contribution of Solidarity committee of the Region of Piedmont, PCN has carried out a food support and humanitarian assistance intervention in Bweremena, in the Masisi area, 54 km from the city of Goma, where the local partner NGO operates. The intervention is particularly aimed at about 750 pygmies in extremely vulnerable conditions, who were evacuated to that region and are not reached by international aid, through preliminary contact with the local authorities and humanitarian agencies to ensure coordination of activities in the field, the identification and registration of the refugees and the purchase of food and basic necessities.

Dal 2012, Persone Come Noi realised his first project of participatory governance, aimed to contribute to the promotion of active, effecrtive and responsible participation by the actors of the city of Kinshasa in the process of effective and sustainables development of their local organisations.

This intervention facilitated dialogue between local authorities and civil society organisations (CSOs) of the 7 municipalities in Funa district, City of Kinshasa, to develop organisational and technical skills for participatory governance and the sustainable and effective development of their municipalities of residence. It facilitated cooperation between local authorities and CSOs from the 7 municipalities of Funa district to promote civil mechanisms for participation in the three areas of decision-making, financing and monitoring of local development initiatives.
