PCN is operating through a support programme to improve the living conditions of children staying in temporary homes in Aceh and to improve the capacity to respond to youth problems in North Aceh and the island of Nias, by increasing the professional skills of young people with a view towards skilled employment in construction works.

The initiatives implemented contribute to the international effort aimed at the protection and promotion of children's rights, particularly with regard to combating the risk of exploitation, violence and trafficking of girls, boys, children and young people. Activities include: support and training for young people of working age; support for integration in the world of employment through microcredit; training of public and private operators in reception centres for unaccompanied minors; direct support to reception centres; census of the facilities and the children in care.
